Top Hat Outreach Program

In addition to the classes taught in the studio, Top Hat Dance Studio has the distinct honor of "reaching out" and sharing the gift of dance with people in communities outside of the studio building.  In some cases, the community may be too far from the physical Top Hat location however, they want to study with Top Hat teachers and live the Top Hat experience.   While others may be part of a niche group, such as corporate team-building program, private organization,  or an employee fitness option.  Whatever the needs of the organization, Top Hat will create a customized program.

Top Hat Dance Studio Now Offering classes in Broomall, PA!

Beginning Monday, April 6, Top Hat Dance Studio will be bringing West Coast Swing, Country and Line Dance Classes to Broomall, PA! Over the last year, we have run a test market class in this area and now we are happy to announce that we are ready to launch a complete Top Hat class structure. The addition of Top Hat classes in Broomall will expand the reach of our outreach program mirroring what we have recently done with classes at the William Way LGBT Center. Top Hat’s own Dara Johnston will be spearheading this endeavor and bringing her expertise in West Coast Swing, Country and Line Dancing to this vital community.

WEST COAST SWING: 7:00 to 8:00 pm
This class is an advanced beginner Class and assumes you know the rudiments of the dance, but we will do everything to get your basics moving in this sexy, smooth style of swing. We focus on refining your movement, techniques, and your joy in the dance. West Coast Swing is an improvisational dance so its freedom is inspiring and challenging too. Each six-week segment focuses on a new series of basics into enhanced moves.

LINE DANCE: 8:00 to 9:00 pm
In this ALL LEVEL class, we will learn contemporary Country, Pop and some R&B line dances. It is great exercise, great fun, and doesn’t even require a partner. Some of the easier dances will be thrown in to ensure you can get on the floor for some fun most anywhere. Line dancing is so incredibly popular and touches on so many different dance skills that you may feel inspired to jump into a partner dance with all your pistons firing.

Line dances have accompanied many popular music styles since the early 1970s including pop, swing, rock and roll, disco, Latin (salsa), rhythm and blues, and jazz. Dances like the Cha Cha Slide, Electric Slide, Wobble and Cupid Shuffle are a few of the line dances that have
consistently remained part of modern American culture for years.

$12/class or 6-pack of 6 consecutive classes for $60.00

Classes will be offered every Monday at the Marple Presbyterian Church, 105 N. Sproul Road,
Broomall, PA 19008.
